Fernald Street is a private road. An inspector will be out to assess the situation.

Potholes on fernald at have always been maintained by the city of Gloucester have you since lowered my taxes… no you haven't therefore they are still to be maintained by the city in my opinion, the whole St is a shambles and police and fire and snow removal is still the responsibility of the city therefore needs to be mantained. I will pursue this further if necessary!

Mr. Carney, Feranld Street is a private way - yes we do provide trash collection, and we do plow some private roads, Fernald Street being one of them. Per City Ordinance Section 21-80 - the city's obligation to private ways is: the filling of potholes in the subsurface of private ways and repairs to the surface materials, but shall not include significant excavation, regrading, drainage work, or the resurfacing thereof.

An Inspector will be out to assess the condition of the road if the repairs needed are beyond filling potholes in the subsurface, the responsibility is then placed on the abutters.

Mr. Rose I am asking to just have the pot holes filled where you get off thinking I am asking for a 128 like grading and surfacing is ludicrous. Just throw some macadam in the holes and call the days job done! Have your assessor drive from 133 to bray and then I believe we can come to an agreement that this is an embarrassment to the cities abilities maintain road surfaces.
